Years of experience developing simple to complex systems and applications using Microsoft Office products including Visual Basic, Microsoft Access, MSExcel and MSWord. Systems can be designed and created to handle any office task or workflow from licensing systems, cash receipt systems, customer/order tracking, billing, etc. Experience includes a variety of database-driven systems, excel spreadsheets and word processing documents and/or applications. Will also modify/enhance your existing systems.

Experience developing simple to complex databases using SQL Server, MySQL, MSACCESS. Also modify/enhance existing systems.

I use available web-based software whenever possible to keep my programming to a minimum. This keeps your cost down. My fees are based strictly on the time and assistance I provide in setting up your web pages. I'll be as involved in your website creation as you'd like. It's up to you. The less involved I am, the lower your cost. If you prefer, I will provide instruction on making your own site modifications.

I will explain the "how to's" for any MSOFFICE application, database, or web application I am familiar with.

Complete Website Development and Setup

Your website is many times the first interaction your customer will have with your business. For existing customers, it's often a way for them to easily find information about you and your business. Don't let a bad design confuse or drive your customers away. Your website needs to highlight the success of your business and create interest in your product or service.

Tell me how you want to use your site and what you want to say. I offer a basic starter web site for a minimal flat rate. This is a simple and inexpensive way for you to initiate a presence on the Internet. You own the domain name and your web pages and get it all at an affordable price. Websites will be clean, simple, easy to navigate and professional. I do not do "Flash" sites. Flash sites are entertaining and fun to look at, however they are also difficult and expensive to maintain/modify and increase download time which often has anegative impact on the average web user.

I like the term "virtual assistance" when referring to what I do.

I don't create the software. There is more existing freeware programming out there than you can imagine, available to you at no or minimal cost. You simply need to know how to set it up and get it working on your site. I can get it working and set up any necessary databases you need. I specialize in mysql database with PHP programming on a LINUX server.

Hosting Your Website

To put your pages on the web, you need to have a hosting service. This is a company which "rents" you space on their internet web server. For small businesses, a shared hosting plan will provide more than enough space and services. Most web hosts will provide you with the following services:

• Server space for your web pages
• E-mail service (usually unlimited e-mail names using your domain name (example: john@mydomain.com, jane@mydomain.com, etc...)
• Application and database servers to hold your programming and data
• Sub-domains
• Registration of your domain name (if you don't already have one)

I'll will set up a hosting plan with a webhost of your choice, or I can recommend one to you. Most hosting companies offer beginner, shared hosting plans starting at approximately 5-$10 per month.
